Elegant Chaos

Last week, Richard Wright, the keyboard player with Pink Floyd, died.

Maybe I've missed it, but I've heard surprisingly little in the mainstream media, which is a travesty.

He always came across as a quiet, private and modest person, but he was a key part of a great band - and will be sadly missed by many, many people.

I wen't to see Stu's band Meretto last night at the Lark In The Park. They played a short accoustic set due to a temporary lack of drummer situation.

It was the first time I'd seen them live, and despite the lack of drums (I'm a bass player, so I tend to be dissapointed when there's no drummer!), I thought they were great. I'll definitely be seeing them again - check out their website for details of upcoming gigs.
