UK Mac/iPad/iPhone Developer Meetings

There are a few regular meetings for Mac, iPad and iPhone developers based in the UK.

Here are the details. If you organise one not listed here, or would like me to update some information, please contact me.

London

NSCoder/Cocoheads/uk-mac-dev

Some of the London based members of the UK Mac Developer Group attend a monthly meeting in a London pub.

This is an informal opportunity to gossip, talk shop about Macs and programming, and to drink beer - all without having our non-technical friends and partners sighing, tutting or leaving us in disgust!

The meeting is an NSCoder night, and is organised these days via the twitter account @nscodernightlon. It is also advertised on our mailing list and the Cocoa Heads mailing list, so effectively it's also the London meeting for all of us.

The meeting usually takes place on the third Tuesday of each month, but just follow the twitter account and take it from there - you'll soon find out if the venue or day has been moved for some reason.

Non list-members are welcome to attend of course, but they should be prepared to be bored silly if they don't want to talk about Mac, iPhone or iPad programming.

London iPhone Developer Group

This group also has a regular monthly meeting, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. It is organised via this LinkedIn group.

There was also a blog here which seems to now be out of date.

Swindon

There is a regular monthly Cocoa Heads meeting in Swindon.

The group meets in the Glue Pot pub on the first Monday of each month

You can find the details here: http://cocoaheads.org/uk/Swindon/index.html

Cambridge

Apparently there is a regular Cambridge meeting, which is notionally 11am on the first Saturday of the month.

Manchester / North West

Dave Verwer organises NSMachester meetings. I'm not sure if the meetings run to a regular schedule.

Check out the NSManchester web site for more details. There's also a @NSManchester twitter feed.

Scotland

The Scottish Mac Developer group have a regular meeting which rotates through a few different venues in Scotland - Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh I think.
